Apple Health integration
Jotzi can optionally read the following data from Apple Health to display wellness context in the Companion section of the app:
- Sleep analysis
- Step count
- Mindful minutes
- Resting heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Blood oxygen (SpO2)
Read-only access
Jotzi only reads health data. It never writes to or modifies your Apple Health records. The native HealthKit integration requests read permission only (toShare is nil).
Permission and control
Jotzi requests your permission before accessing any health data. You can grant or deny access to individual health categories. You can change or revoke health permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Jotzi.
How health data is used
Health data is displayed within the Companion section to give you a quick view of your daily wellness signals alongside your reminders. Health data is not used for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than displaying it to you within the app.
Data stays on your device
Health data read from Apple Health is not stored persistently by Jotzi, is not sent to any server, and is not shared with any third party including Ocoee Studios. It is read on demand and displayed in the app.
Apple Watch
The Jotzi Apple Watch companion app displays your active reminders and lets you act on them from your wrist. The Watch app receives reminder data from the iPhone via WatchConnectivity. No health data is sent to or displayed on the Watch app.
App data storage
All other Jotzi data (reminders, notes, lists, calendar items, templates, saved info, and settings) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Jotzi does not have a cloud sync service or user account system. If you delete the app, your data will be removed.
Data export
Jotzi Pro includes a data export feature that creates a backup file of your reminders, notes, and lists. Health data is not included in exports. Exported files stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
